>>55929165It's considered bad mostly because it's a "Baby's First Puzzle Adventure" game, that's to say it's extremely easy for its genre, almost insultingly so, but more importantly, it's incredibly padded with pointless sidequests and long, droning dialog that goes nowhere for hours, guaranteed to bore and cure insomnia to hardcore Pokémon fans and target audience alike, because it if it gets to the point, then the game would only last 1 - 4 hours at most and make the $50 price tag even more of a scam than it already is. An easy contender for the Top 10 Worst Pokémon video games that isn't blatant shovelware.
If you haven't played the first Detective Pikachu on the 3DS, it's far more bearable compared to its sequel. It's still a "First Adventure Game", but it has more story and far less padding, making it a lower ranked, but still comfy enough game.
