What sadistic fuck thought it was a good idea to add a feature to hit your Pokemon?
It always happens on accident when trying to pet them and is always eerily juxtaposed by the happy paradise background and cheerful music to see a cute animal recoiling in fear and covering its eyes like it’s begging you not to hurt it. This was consciously implemented by the devs for over 700+ Pokemon with a unique animations wasted on a disturbing idea that nobody asked for.
I always held heavy resentment for the 3DS games for this feature when there’s plenty of ways to lower affection. Why did they add it?
