Why can Orre fans not defend their opinions without resorting to ad hominems? I am no fan of Orre games, but I try to understand the other side of the aisle on this issue. However instead of reasonable arguments, all Orre fans do is shout slurs at me. Almost every time I stated that I thought the GameCube Pokemon games were not very good, I have been called some slur for transgender folx. They just act like their games are unquestionably superior and that if you like other games in the series (specifically the mainline games), then you must be trans! I just don't understand how these spinoff games attract so many bigots. Even when other fans of Pokemon react irrationally to criticism, they at least try to provide some argument for their game, but Orre fans always go straight to hate.
Can anyone explain this phenomenon?
