It really is. It’s faster, has better pokemon distribution, pacing is much better, doesn’t waste my time with dumb bullshit like phonecalls for evolution items, etc. Johto is dogshit in all iterations.

Unironically, the best part about Johto is going to Kanto, and at that point I’d rather just play a superior Kanto game.

Every single 3rd version is for the babies that were too young to know what the fuck was going on. As soon as you're a sentient being you get the 3rd version aka yellow, which all the 6 year olds already beat with red/blue version. But since you're a baby you get the 2nd run which is for all the babies that missed out because they were just born.
