While most of the abuse is organic and not planned, it's eerily similar to survivors found in odd cults and highly unethical experiments (think MKULTRA, ritualistic abuse with occultism and Jewish symbolism). The same tips to get better apply, I think:
- emotional regulation training, more likely to be diagnosed in girls as a a personality disorder, and boys as autism or incel shit.
- trauma focused therapy, and reintegration of the bad pieces back into a single person. Materialism isn't enough here, might need some spiritualism or philosophy. Get a group to integrate the kids back somewhere.
- slowing tappering off all drugs after stability is found. They're more than enough to drive a person off the walls, but big pharma has big pockets, and will harm kids for profits.
- on that point, most people are not evil, but they easily enable the worst actors as long as they have some charisma and are not showing clear ill intent. The society that leaves kids on their own with these predators genuinely cannot picture the consequences of these actions, till shit hits the fan and does a 180.
- training people to recognize and reject manipulation and people arguing in bad faith. Goyslop, propaganda of any stripe, even the concerned troll like OP bringing this off-topic question to a Pokemon board. (You) get the rope too.
