When gen 3 came out I had wanted to have all 3 regions in one game. This allows that! Warping between games is treated as switching games but it carries your pokemon and inventory over into the next game. As such, if you catch something in Hoenn and bring it to Kanto or Johto, it will be treated as a trademon while in those regions and vice-versa.
This thing is my wet dream. 3 regions, 24 badges, Emerald's Gym Leader rematches and Battle Frontier and having the FireRed Elite Four rematch to pair with Emerald's Gym Leader rematches.
