Since Tandemaus doesn't "evolve" in the same way as other mons and just suddenly becomes Mausholds when you arent looking, I would assume that in the wild each family unit is constantly changing from Tandemaus to Maushold and then back to Tandemaus when the kids grow up and seperate to form other Tandemaus pairs with the kids from other Mausholds.
We just don't see them "unevolve" in game because it'd be annoying game design for your pokemon to randomly weaken itself.

Retardmouse is a guy and girl mouse who just fuck and make twins. They aren't even depicted as pressing against each other like the Pokemon above, to at least visualize they're so close they may as well be one. They're just two fucking mice standing next to one another, and then 4 fucking mice standing next to one another with the implication that they fucked. That's retarded. Fuck this Pokemon. Some stupid designs can be saved by creative lore, like Klefki not literally being a set of keys but a prankster fairy that collects keys and hangs them on his loop shaped body. Hell I'll even give Revaroom a pass because it's not literally a car and the idea of it using natural minerals as a chemical process to produce fuel (and toxic byproducts) feels clever enough for it to feel like there was actual thought put behind it.

This fucking Mouse family is so creatively bankrupt and doesn't even look like a fucking Pokemon either.

Kangaskhan not getting a baby in Gen 2 has consistently baffled me since that batch of mons was initially revealed. Looking into the beta and seeing it wasn’t even considered but babies for fucking Grimer and Goldeen were was even more confusing.
