Looks like it's about time for another one of these.
I'm seeing a lot of negativity and bias in here. so I want to ask two questions.
Outside of characters, music, and the Pokemon themselves, would you be able to name one positive thing that your least favourite game/generation did well? And would you be able to name one thing that your favourite pokemon game/generation did poorly? Since I made the thread, I think it's time to go first.
>Least Favourite: Gen 3. Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.
I don't know entirely why I don't vibe with it, it just kinda bores me due to replaying it a billion times, but there IS one thing I can say: The region itself? fucking BEAUTIFUL. The worldbuilding, the visual flair, the fact that the region is half land half water to tie into the box art legendaries and evil team, it just lends itself so well to that.
>Favourite: Gen 8. Pokemon Shield.
Pokemon Shield, for MANY reasons, is my favourite pokemon game ever, from it's region, to it's dex, to it's music and the fact that gym battles actually feel like something, but there is something I dislike about the gen. Some would point towards being the "start of the downward spiral" and some would point to Dynamax, but my thing is Multiplayer Pokemon Camp. The campsites often disappear before you can even get to them. And as someone who ADORES that feature, it makes me sad that it just doesn't work too greatly.
Remember, anons.
No Gen is Bad, as someone will always love it.
No Gen is Good, as someone will always hate it.
No Game is Perfect, but no game is Flawed.
They all have Pros and Cons.
There is no such thing as Objective Truth.
Your Opinion isn't universal, and Everyone is allowed to enjoy different things.
So why not just share the love instead?
