Gamefreak is braindead in a lot of areas. Take for example, customization.
Any other company would have added outfits from other games, the anime, other media, and let you customize everything.
Gamefreak has the worst taste in fashion possible, you can only dress like a faggot, and in SV they force an ugly uniform on you.
Another major example was in SWSH not letting you customize the gym uniform.

There's nothing wrong with the battle system, the only problem is that the games are way too easy.
A proper Pokemon game needs to be legitimately hard and force you to think of your team building and tactics beyond "grass beats water"

This part pissed me off, but at least it's fixable with mods(unlike the bike suit).

Honestly, I would prefer it way more if the games started to have actual fully fleshed out protagonists, since I feel the game's story is very limited by having the MC be a blank canvas.
Then, when you go online, you can make and customize your own character if you want.

I was talking about the character levels, I can understand not having the appropriate affinity levels for some of the shitters you need to use
You can start leveling easier when you get access to the lv 20 skell, so exp shouldn't ever really be a problem
