picrel is mine. It mainly functioned as a baton pass user to further elevate my Absol's sweeping abilities but it could still dish out a mean water attack.

Probably Lickilicky in Platinum. It has the classic Normal type movepool, is chunky enough to switch in and take a hit, and STAB Return is always a good neutral option.

Never thought I'd use one, but I found a shiny. Equip with a Leftovers and send against an opponent who only knows physical moves. Then put up the shenigans and it's unstoppable.

Slowing in silver, my cousin helped me trade to evolve slowpoke

Team was Meganium, Stantler, Slowking, Weezing, Dewgong and Skarmory

In retrospect I have weird tastes in Pokémon, fuck most of my team technically came from around ecruteak or evolved after I got surf, I even replaced Espeon for Dewgong because I wanted an ice type and Slowking was a cooler psychic type, I wasn't even bothered by having two waters

My original Crystal team had a politoed, the one time I ever actually bothered to arrange a trade evolution with a friend.
Currently using a tangela for the first time and learning to love it.

probably delcatty in b2w2. it's kind of a gimmick but you can make decent progress with sing + attract leaving your opponent only able to act like a third of the time, it's just very slow since you hit like a wet pool noodle
either that, or wishiwashi in gen 7. thing hits like a god damn freight train and the low speed works in your favor if you give it a shell bell, but idk if it's really "obscure". i never see anyone talk about it, though

Not really obscure but I farmed SOS encounters for an entire day so I could use a Volcarona on my Ultra Sun playthrough
Had to go out of my way to get an Alolan Marowak first so I had a Ghost type with False Swipe because all the Larvesta had Take Down
