I played the whole game several times when i was young, now i just started playing it on desmume, any thoughts about the game?

i think it's one of the greatest games ever made, so is rescue team, and they're some of the core reasons i like video games at all + their soundtracks are literally unmatched in all of gaming.

I got back into Pokemon because of this game. Then I lost interest when I realized the series it came from was treated as noncanon by the mainline games.

Main story is severely lacking. Rescue Team is mostly post game content.

personally i think the music is better and the writing is definitely on par, maybe controversial but i prefer its story too.
it was literally the first game i played that wasn't shovelware or on the NES, though, so i have a very distinct bias towards it. i think it holds up to scrutiny though.
