ALL GameFreak had to avoid this problem was give some Kalos Pokemon some Mega Evolutions in XY. But they didn't, and only Diancie got a Mega in ORAS, and Ash at the time wasn't allowed to have Legendary or Mythical Pokemon.
And ALL the anime had to do given this was let Ash bring back one of his old Pokemon that are Mega Evolution-eligible, because the whole point of Ash-Greninja was that they wanted to give Ash a Mega, but couldn't due to the guidelines of "Ash can only have Pikachu + Pokemon who made their franchise debut in Kalos".
But apparently it was fucking easier for everyone involved to make an OC donut steel "happens once every 6 gorillion years" form and promote the everloving fuck out of it DESPITE knowing damn good and well that Ash still wasn't allowed to win league tournaments.
The whole situation is SO fucking retarded because it could've so easily been avoided.
