I caught a geodude in my current Yellow file and it actually rules, I don't know why I never took it seriously before. Even while putting off graveler until it naturally learned earthquake it was always my strongest guy.

Being one of the only mons with a usable defensive and offensive profile that, crucially, has access to Rapid Spin in a game where that is rare.

Rhydon offers nothing other Ground and Rock types don't except the high base first three stats, which is not valuable enough in Gen 2 OU.

I used it in Pearl. Earthquake and high power Rock moves by level up, can learn Rock Polish too. It's a solid mon.
