It's not a Gen 7+ Pokemon nor is it poised to get a cross-gen evolution like Girafarig, Primeape or Dunsparce so they don't care to give a signature move.

They did bother to give old mons signature move. Mainly legendaries, but Ariados and Slowking are notable ones.

It'd need to also trap the target, Noctunoir might be quite alright with such a move.
Or just give it Ghost Salt cure, it'd become good enough.

Dusknoir is alright in a vacuum, problem is how much it differs from its evolutions.

Dusclops is a really good design. Why the fuck did they give it a morbidly obese evolution immediately after introducing it? Diamond and Pearl genuinely baffle me. They're such odd games compared to what came before the, and I legitimately want to know GF's design philosophy behind them.

Dusknoir fits a lot more with Duskull than Dusclops does. I really don't get the fascination with the mummy.
