>>55995297How do you get this many of them on screen at once with no normal ones?
>>55995316They're okay but the lack of wild battles is annoying and the postgame is dogshit. You can repeatedly battle the Elite Four, catch loads of Pokemon, send them to Oak to be processed into candy, and challenge these 150 "masters" of each species, for which you need to train up that specific species to level 100 (and no the Metapod master won't let you challenge him with a Caterpie or a Butterfree).
Multiplayer co-op mode is pretty neat though, just pick up the other joycon and a second player that shares the same party appears. Since both player just use a single joycon you can do both of them yourself if you like.
>>55995345The motion controls for catching are okay and kind of fun at first, but as you get into more difficult Pokemon, they are complete ASS. Sometimes it does exactly what you want and makes you feel like you're throwing the ball, but other times it throws it off to the side for seemingly no reason. And good luck when you get a Pokemon that dances around so you have to throw to the side. It's only easy to throw to the side when you don't want to.
So much better to switch to handheld mode where you use stick+gyro to aim and then A to chuck a ball in the center of the screen. Since there's no crosshairs but it chucks at a fixed point, I found it helpful to throw a couple balls and then stick a tiny scrap of painter's tape on the screen in the spot where it throws. Painter's tape because it is easy to peel off and doesn't leave residue.
