Why does a feather boost fairy attacks instead of flying attacks?

I don't even remember running into a Fairy Feather. I've gotten all of the others multiple times. I know there was the Pixie Plate.

That’s bc it’s new in Scarlet and Violet…’s DLC. And is exclusive to a mini game that is harder than it has to be in single player
