Platinum adds wild Tangela and Tropius while also adding Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and event-unlockable locations for the Regis, allowing the total between DPPt without Pal Park to be 451/493, which isn't a huge jump from just DP.
In comparison, a single copy of Gold or Silver without events, trading, or glitches can reach 199/251, and can reach 232/251 when trading together. Add in a copy of any Gen I game and you can reach 249/251.
Red and Green under the same circumstances is 124/151 in a vacuum and 150/151 working together.
Ruby and Sapphire are 177/386 for Ruby and 178/386 for Sapphire (version-exclusives Solrock and Lunatone are the only replenishable source of Sun and Moon Stones, but there are two Moon Stone evolutions but only one Sun Stone, so you have to choose between Wigglytuff and Delcatty in Ruby), and they're 200/386 when working together.
I forget the exact number for DP in a vacuum, but I believe it was in the ~360 area.
