>shitty hallway walking simulators with trainers standing on the sides.Ah, who can forget great non-hallway maps like Route 1, Route 2, Route 3, Route 4, Route 7, Route 8, Route 10, Route 11, or great mechanics like being slowed down to DP speeds on Route 9, being unable to control your character properly on Route 13, or the return of the iconic Sinnoh swamp tiles in Route 14. That's half the numbered routes in the game, and the dungeon or town design barely gets better. This isn't even getting into Lumiose which is the worst of early 3D games all in one area.
