After some thought, i accept your critic. I just want another villain team that acts more in mafia style, everyone except rocket seems more like a cult than a villain organization. I like it more when regions aren't just an entire country but a very specific zoomed in part of the region like Unova being specifically based on NYC, Orre being a specific part of the American south-west or the Japanese regions in general.
Feels a lot more unique than just "real country but in pokemon".

I think they should do the Rockies using Banff, Jasper, Yellowstone, Teton, Glacier, etc as inspiration.
Use all the animals of the rockies as inspiration.
Then for slice of life add Australian fauna for additional pokemon.
And base legnedaries off like bigfoot, and norse and celtic mythology/ folklore.
