Progressives push for overbearing nanny states and oppose free market. Whereas corporations push to consolidate monopolies - the last thing big corps want is a free market. So they enter an unholy marriage in which state bureaucrats raise entry barriers to the entrance of new actors, while big shots put the money for propaganda and infrastructure of the new regime. Corps may end paying a bit more taxes, but in exchange their market power becomes absolute. And THIS is the actual definition of fascism, not the hillbillies in red maga caps yelling at clouds. Why the fuck do you think the likes of Bezos and Gates support more taxes?
