He gets the games early, but he doesn't get review codes and has to pay for them because he doesn't review them, just covers the contents.
He writes them off as a business expense, same with his consoles/handhelds/freemium purchased.
He makes a decent living, and has to pay a lot less tax than an employed person would because he writes half his expenditure off.
Joe has a cushy sounding life, but he's never not working, and when you consider how much shit he puts out in terms of news updates, site updates, and tweets, he's basically always working. I wouldn't be able to tolerate that, I'd end up hating or resenting Pokémon for it.
