When the new updates for Unbound, Inclement Emerald, and Gaia release I'm gonna nut.
Gaia 4.0 is 5-6 years in the making, looking like it has a completely new OST (all uploaded on Spherical Ice's Youtube), new trainer sprites, new location previews (the little art you get in FRLG when entering somewhere new), not to mention the protag has 4 new costumes just like Unbound does. Prolly tons of updated mechanics and new mons since 2018 too.
Inclement Emerald is godlike but has yet to add gen 8+9 mons, Buffel Saft adds so many amazing balance changes Drayano style so expect lots of strong options with any mon. What I'm most looking forward to is using and seeing all the new buffed and available Pokemon in the Battle Frontier, and using Megas ofc.
Only caveat is apparently that won't be until 3.0, and 2.0 still isn't out.
Unbound just has the final zone and the post-game story to wrap up with the "Black Horizon" on the horizon, not to mention that Glimmer Isle place. Maybe they'll add gen 9 mons but I'm not sure.
Unbound is already peak as it is though.
Firered Omega also included the rest of the gen 9 DLC mons in 4.1, as well as new costumes, custom shinies, and a bunch of other little shit.
With all the tools these days it seems like gen 3 hacking has entered a new frontier desu.
