But then, such flavorful Bonds are impossible to implement for player characters, because if they're going to an NPC then it makes no sense how you'd be able to access said form as the PC, since the PC is not that NPC and therefore does not manifest that Bond and thus that particular form.
Ash-Greninja just didn't make sense two have in the game, especially not past Gen VI.
