To be fair along with the reveal of the return of ME, it seems they're utilising the existing gimmick for the starters this time, given one already has a Mega and the all three are tied in some fashion to France or French culture. 'Course it all depends on the year it's being set in (I'm leaning to a similar timeframe to L: A, given we have a hard-date on the creation of the pokéball), but something tells me unless it's something like a Kalosian form of a pokémon non-native to Kalos in the modern era, like Hisuian Voltorb, there won't be such a brew-ha-ha with regionals this time out. More megas would be my guess.
