I'd also like to note that Kanto has two water types that get ice in their final stage, another ice/water in Lapas, Jynx which is a pretty interesting type combination but has odd availability, and a legendary. Gen 2's ice type additions are a bit odd, but having an ice area does help with their availability of a lot of them.
>>56072769It has the exact same amount at 2, and Weavile's availability is a bit weird. Unless you're counting post-game or Platinum, in which case yes Platinum is way better by giving better access to previously post-game only Pokemon.
