>>56073479There's only a handful of Pokemon relegated to post-game in exactly GS to the point that it barely matters, and the level curve isn't the problem, it's that for some reason they put the Rocket in that dip AGAIN and made most of those fights mandatory instead of optional like Gen 1. You being overleveled isn't the problem, the encounter design is the problem.

It's still arguably the best way to play Kanto and definitely better than Let's Go, but I dunno if I'd actively recommend it over something like the GameCube titles which provide a very interesting experience.
>>56073506There's no map design worse than the worst of Sinnoh's map design, and Sinnoh doesn't have anything else to offer over HGSS. Unless you really value the boss fights of Platinum over the ones in HGSS, in which case I dunno man they're not that much better than the best in HGSS and also HGSS just has more going on that isn't some degree of delayed suffering. The dramatic difference between waiting for a chance to get a Pokemon in the Safari Zone and waiting for a deterministic thing to get a Pokemon in the Safari Zone is night and day.
