I like how you specify “jotho” shitmon. You could have easily said early route shitmon, since pokemon in the first few routes tend to be weaker in all games, even in SwooShie, you could have said “early Gen” shitmon since many Pokémon from early gens are shitmons since it was game freak didn’t start paying much attention to PvP until Gen 4. But no, you went the extra mile to single out “jotho” when as if every Gen2 pokemon is fucking delibird despite that thing being an intentional outlier, outside that and a small handful most gen2 pokemon were on par with everything else when they were made, and only started falling off after being left behind in powercreep while Kanto mons get shower with constant shilling and megas.
Also it’s “Johto” not “jotho” I know you weren’t born when GSC were made but please try to get it right

As for “what were they thinking?!” When making spidops? How they fuck should I know? Maybe they didn’t want to overshadow CHARIZARD’s spy form but gen9 was too much of a glitch fest to code in a CHARIZARD form?

Incorrect. Ledian has a BST of 390 so technically Spidops is STRONGER then the average Johto shitmon, though not by much.

the other hitmons were just as bad, and ironically Top is the only Hitmon to end up ever beign worth a damn in any comp form only being usurped by Masuda's BaraTiger Fursona (who made every other intimidator obsolete)

Very few of the pokmon you actually mentioned were abnormally shit by early gens. Most pokemon in general back the were unoptimized . Singling out Johto just makes you look retarded.

Togetic is an exp sponge. It doesn't do anything and takes way too much effort to evolve. Even Furret is more useful.

Slugma is fucking abysmal. Even if you could get it on route 1, it would suck ass. Why does it evolve at level fucking 38? At least in gen 3 it has some new support tech.
