>>56080758It was delayed, Nintendo outright said in 2019 they saw Switch lasting 6-7 years in total from its 2017 launch (2024), they revealed fuck all EAD games for the last half of the year barring the vapourware teased 8 years ago and scuttlebutt said Nintendo had been wary of having another Switch launch era for the new system and end up selling out and not being able to handle potential demand.
There's also the fact Pokémon launches two years after a new system launches and they are clearly developing to a 2026 deadline for Gen 10, meaning they were supposed to release the new system to then have the kiddy version ready to launch alongside Gen 10 in 2026.
