I disagree, that will just make Red as a character a lot less special. She should have been a super boss in her own right. Like only being able to battle her at the Battle Frontier if you managed to defeat all the Frontier Brains. Or maybe something to do with the Pokeathlon.

It would be really cool if they gave us a full length seinen pokemon anime featuring the older designs for Red, Blue, and Green.
The mini-series are just too short.

I'm just saying that if you were to have only played FRLG and not the original RGBY and picked a girl in FRLG then facing Red would lose a lot of the impact. It really wouldn't make sense to have them be separate characters at that point since only one of them existed in FRLG.

if you are genuinely asking, in gen 7 the post game had the battle tree, where you could face Blue or Red. But Green wasn't there as far as we knew. And Green Bros are salty.

It would've been strange for Leaf in HGSS to not be in the same role as Red when there's no sign of the other gender PC throughout the entirety of FRLG unlike with May, Dawn, Lyra, and Serena as rivals. Let's Go is an alternate continuity anyways so they could put whatever they want in it, and Masters regularly makes shit up.
