For whatever reason in DP Patrick has a 2% encounter rate in the Ravaged Path, and that’s the earliest you can encounter one until you reach Hearthome City. Weird. Maybe they didn’t want you to have a reliable Water-type before Roark?

Update:

I have never used psyduck or pachirisu before, that's why I added them, what are other recommendations for the team of generally unused mons in a DP run?

Changing the date works as long as you do it in a specific way. Change the clock to 11:58 PM and then Drifloon will appear at midnight. If you just straight up change the time to Friday it won’t work.

changing the clock works, but i forget how to do it exactly lol. i think you can't let the date roll over or it stops all timed events for 24 hours

trying setting your time to 23:58, start the game, let it roll over into friday, save, reset, and i think drifloon should be there?

I changed the time to 23:57 let the date pass and drifloon is nowhere to be seen, do I need to defeat the galactic commander for it to spawn or something?
How do I know if I fucked up and the timed events are locked?
