So other than the Kanto games, the only story not written at least partially by Toshinobu Matsumiya was the revised Hoenn plot and Delta Episode (by Masafumi Nukita) until gen 9 put Ryota Muranaka for SV. Which honestly makes sense, the change in tone ORAS gets when you step into the post-game is massive with the deal of Devon being based on explotation of pokemon's lifes, the multiverse stuff, the responsibility of taking care of your world's problems and not sending them somewhere else, the implied traumatic past of Zinnia with her dead friend/sister/whatever, etc.
Time to retire Toshinobu for good.
