Gen 1, it's super short and has a cool legendary in it too. I think Gen 2 was also fine. It gets a bit tedious after that, but Unova isn't bad either.

I forgot BW2's, I only played BW1 recently. It doesn't require any HMs and fits mostly the same description as Kanto.
