It's bulkier and hits harder than Appletun + has Nasty Plot to hit even harder. Appletun has slightly more HP, but that's completely rendered moot by Regenerator.

Take the good with the bad. He does have shit typing but with the bulk the only thing you really have to watch for is ice attacks which are a diamond dozen anyway.

If I could be assed setting up trick room he could be a good sweeper. But there are better options for sure.

That alone makes it astronomically better than Shitun. It's damage is far better than Shitpple too effectively rendering both it's other evos meaningless. Their only hope is that they get third evos in a future game as well. Alternatively they could Kommo-o them and give them buffs to make up for the fact Gmax is never returning and both were designed around the mechanic.
