Sycamore is hot but he looks a little too old for Serena, ngl as an adult my heart probably fluttered more for him than for Calem as I played, but Calem was definitely my second choice and Serena is just perfect with him.
Calen and Serena are just so aesthetically pleasing both together and on their own, they gotta be the prettiest protagonists ever when taken as a couple.
Volo definitely fits more than Sycamore for that role because despite being older than Akari he's totally leaning on the bishie aesthetic which is very popular both among younger girls and women.
Sycamore is a full-on ikemen, unmistakably an adult with a job and a bit of experience on his shoulders. He fills perfectly for a certain female niche, but said niche's average age tends to be too high to self-insert as Serena, they'd rather self-insert themselves/their own customized character who probably is around the same age as the player, at least in their mind.
