Serperior is fine but it still astounds me 14 years later how thoroughly bad they fucked up the other two starters. If they really needed to make Tepig some wrestler abomination a Fire/Ground mud wrestling theme would’ve made infinitely more sense than repeating Infernape’s theme AGAIN.

Basically they are both fine designs and their only problem was not rising up to what people expected (a different type, a different body). And is fine to dislike something initially because it frustrated what you expected, but still hate it 15 years just make you look like an imbecile stuck in time.
As for Serperior, peak design. Nothing to even defend it from.
