Yes they can, you add berries to curries in SWSH and i think theres other examples of humans eating berries. No known sideeffects on himans to the curry recipes from what i remember.

Unfortunately, too many wires got crossed when I was a kid, and instead of gaining a fear, I got a fetish instead. I've never been a normal person since.
Also most people I've seen willfully choose to exclude bursting from their works, and even if there is, it's more likely than not that it'll be non-fatal.

it's not that weird, if the thing being inflated is just the outermost layer of skin you could still have a whole person unharmed underneath. might be a good way to exfoliate.

Maybe, I just thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt. Wishful thinking and all that.
I will say, thinking of it as a kind of bondage-esqe thing does honestly make it really hot. Even if I'm not really into bondage myself.
