I just think its funny to think about cuz im willing to bet if Clefairy was the mascot then metronome would be one of if not THE most iconic pokemon moves by proxy.

Yes, so we could've had Red instead of Ash as the main protagonist, then when fairy type gets introduced into the show it'll actually be more believable seeing Clefairy getting stronger without having to introduced dumb gimmicks they needed to do for Pikachu just to compensate on how weak it really is..
