this is one of the few beta line that has absolutely nothing going for it; Even the beta bayleaf is better simply due to the novelty of how batshit out of nowhere it is with the rest of the line. Even the damn beta baby mons are better (one tailed Vulpix at least fits with its dex).

Being evolved means jack, Kirlia was created as a middle stage with a BST under 300 and no single stat higher than 65. Pikachu itself has starter stats, the ones that are starters can never evolve and only the new one gets a stat boost to make up for it.
