It was either Masuda or Ohmori, but one of them said that if we ever got a Spanish or Portuguese region, they'd love to see a Pokémon based on the Rooster of Barcelos. Sadly it seemd that despite Paldea being both Spain and Portugal, there was no rooster at all. Unless you count the thing on Skeledirge's nose.
