I'm honestly surprised that VGC even managed to get as popular as it did considering how petty and egotistical most of the VGC people are. The potential profit from the games, mobile apps, trading cards, anime, etc. make VGC profits look like nothing. Particularly when you take into consideration that it only takes place a few weeks of the year at most compared to the other avenues of revenue that apply all year long. TPCI already tends to stretch their employees as is.
(That's moreso a problem with TPCI not willing to hire more employees but the point still stands.)
