>>56129095I don't think about Sabrina obsessively, or even exclusively for that matter. Certainly she doesn't take up 100% of my thoughts on a daily basis. She's more a reminder to myself; there may be other girls in the franchise - some more popular, some less, some possibly nearly as appealing to my taste - but Sabrina stands above them, evoking more feeling in a more understated way. That, for me is what makes Sabrina so cool. She admits to being averse to Pokémon battle, yet she stands as one of Kanto's strongest Gym Leaders. She's modest, a little unassuming by her own measure and intriguing in a way that - for me certainly - makes you want to know more. And hell, at the end of it all, she even managed to become a film star, which makes a really cool character arc; from a modest Gym Leader to being scouted as a diamond in the rough. Shame that along the way, HGSS happened and made a ham-fisted attempt at saying "Look guys! She's grown! See how she's broken out of her shell!" ...Wearing lowriders and a camisole that shows off her midriff. Great development, truly. Totally not a character designer's ill-conceived, barely disguised fap preferences.
