You know what, I'm gonna say something controversial, I genuinely believe that even Bewitched Woods is a better field than Starlight Arena, because it at least tries to do something unique and interesting, Starlight Arena just makes busted types even more degenerate, has bullshit mechanics through and through, while the same is true for Bewitched, the worst part of it is boosting sleep spam, that is very gay, yes, but that is such a rare occurrence in the few fights you have there compared to the general horseshit you have to deal with in every single horrible fucking fight in Starlight (fuck now I'm thinking of Emp*re and I'm even angrier).

As Wagie said in the past, the more constraining the mechanics of the fight (via field), once you actually optimize for the field, the difficulty of the fight is surprisingly lower than a few of the others (Paradoxes, Glass, etc) just because the AI doesn't really have anything that can stop you from rolling over it with the field's own bullshit. Also the Surge abilities changing the fields (or Lycanroc's Z move/pledges/etc) inherently create more interesting gameplay than "engaging with the field mechanics as intended" as we can plainly see here.
The fights themselves are damage range hell and crit RNG hell thanks to the field and +15% level spike. I had an autistic strat with Dawn Wings to setup on Kyurem to beat both P-Don and Ultracrozma (basically everything except Jirachi and Arceus), but none of that ended up being necessary with the uncharacteristically good luck I had in the final fight. Shedinja w/ seed would be used to lure in Kyurem (beats Wonder Guard with Turboblaze) for the setup so it wouldn't have mattered what order the AI would've sent out their mons.
It felt so fitting to finish off the final boss with my starter pokemon d e s u.

>>56131790 GG, in retrospect I think this fight was much easier on Anna's route than in Lin's since it's much easier to abuse Glitch than New World and the second Lin fight being in doubles does not make things any easier, that was some incredible luck too, funnily enough I also relied on my Skeledirge, wanted to use Delphox but sadly the poor thing couldn't do anything besides spamming Will-o-Wisp, I applaud you for getting through this with the handicap that you did.

>Glitch vs New World I personally think it's way easier to play from behind on New World because you're not getting crit every other turn. This fight took quite a few tries (my notes file says 172 total whiteouts this run, but I'm not sure if it's accurate) simply because half the runs died at Lugia landing a random crit. Of the runs that got past Lugia, I'd say 3/4 of them died at one of the Jirachis and extremely gay Serene Grace nonsense with the glitch field. The winning run was the first one to make it all the way to Pulsecius, amazingly.

Metagross cleaned house by itself on the Terra fight by itself (unless I was completely fucked by the field or accuracy, which I often was).
Skeledirge baited Sucker Punches from the cancer that is Mega Mawile while dishing out burns and the rest was a ragtag that heavily relied on luck since Lin's AI was so stupidly fickle, if the Necrozma went for Trick Room, switch in Stakataka, if not, switch in Necrozma and try handle things from there, I hate how nothing was taking damage at all and there was no time to set up, even while burned Mega Mawile was doing absurd damage with Brick Break otherwise Kingambit would have cleaned housed even easier, on the one attempt I managed to reach Arceus without spamming items that fucker switched to Fighting type and I immediately lost what could have easily been a clean win.
Ting-Lu was mostly there for the third fight to tank a few absurdly powerful hits like Black Hole Eclipse.
I guess Glitch Field faggotry, especially high crit rates suck, but I got screwed so often with crits during my runs that it might as well not even have mattered.
