Even if you were one of the dopes who bought in the middle of the pandemic hype, it's not as though you've lost your shirt. The dude in the video is doing some retarded sleight of hand when he compares a single ludicrous sale to average sale prices today. In reality, most people were buying this Jolteon for 300-450 bucks, not $1200, and now they're selling them for 250-350. Things are only truly cataclysmic if you're that One Dude who bought a card for double what it was selling for even during the 2020 rush, or if you """invested""" a massive amount of capital in the middle of the hype.
Anyhow, I'm glad I bought all my vintage 1st eds years before the speculators came into the hobby.
