They should stop making Elite 4 being monotype trainers because that's completely retarded. If they are the strongest trainers in the region and among the strongest in the world, they should have expert command in all types. A perfect Elite 4 that I envisioned is a group of people who are experts in various battle techniques. Like Terrain Manipulation, Weather Control, Ability Utilizers, and a Master Strategist. The Champion is someone who is at Battle Tower level of expertise but using Pokemon with appropiate Pokemon levels. I don't want a League full of monotype toddlers and troons, I want to have a proper challenge to end my journey.

I'm fine with having them be type specialists but not locking them to monotype. Think like Karen or DP Flint, even though those two were due to dex limitations. A couple Pokemon of their type with others that match the theme or form a coherent team around them.

Full weather E4 with no monotype teams could be cool. All with 2 weather setters with Damp/Dry/Smooth/Icy Rocks. Rain team with a mix of Water, Electric, Archaludon, rain benefitting ability mons, etc. Sun team with mix of Fire, Grass, and sun-benefitting ability mons. Sandstorm with a mix of Rock, Ground, Steel, and sandstorm-benefitting ability mons. Snow with Ice and snow-benefitting ability mons (as well as others that happen to learn Blizzard).
