It could just be some random woman for all we know, and people just like to shitpost about Elesa being her mom because it pisses people off to think that she "lost" to a fat old guy that specializes in a type that's super-effective against hers, but in reality Lacey has absolutely nothing in common with her and with how on the nose GF likes to be, she'd at least have had an Emolga. We've also never seen Gordie's dad/Melony's husband because it doesn't matter and/or GF doesn't care.
