What got me back into Pokemon was the manga, which absolutely about the 'human drama'. I had no issue with the story in SV, if fact, I quite liked it, despite it being a bit childish (I'm an old man by now, I know), what I didn't like, was that all the humans, especially the NPCs, all looked like shit
And about the 'woke' complaint, I don't know how a game can appeal to women, if you can't let your player character actually look girly, and it isn't me bitching about trans people, last time I checked, trans people want to wear skirts, it's these mega corpos having no understanding what 'inclusive' actually means
