Wait I thought Gamefreak was obsessively autistic about evolution items and would rather add a brand new gimmick or item rather than say "Yeah, Magmar can evolve by Fire Stone now. Why couldn't he in past generations? Well Magmortar didn't exist yet.". This is actually a good change, how come the Switch shills never talk about this?
