So I’m guessing the starters for the next legends games are going to be from generations 2,5, and 7?

The only reason the legends staters were picked was because of a unique situation where Game Freak most hated starters (Eclair, School Shooter, and Pooltoy) happened to also be from the regions fans hate the most (Kanto's Backyard, Circle, and Cutscenes) hence whey the orignals were erased and replaced with regional forms. The only thing we can assume that that the ZA starters are getting Megas meaning they would have to be starters that Game Freak worships yet don't already have a mega.

What? Sinnoh is like the 2nd most shilled reguon after Kanto. Rottom, Lucario, Garchomp and Piplup are everywhere and It wouldn't surprise me if Piplup is gonna be a starter in ZA considering Empoleon's connection with Napoleon

There are no Sinnoh-born Cyndaquil in those games, you can only get them traded in from Hoenn, Orre, or Johto.

Game freak doesn’t have Gatr, or Snivy. Ana even Emboar they’re neutral towards. Only meganium is hates enough to warrant a regional but there are no other Fire or Water starters as hated as it

I think they'll just do the gen 6 starters again but with megas this time. There's no reasoning a smattering of different gen starters needs to be a pattern of the Legends series

If you care to put any stock in it, the reveal of the inclusion of all starter pokémon in ID's dome had the Hisuian starters alongside Snivy, Torchic and Piplup.
Kids forget, but Tochic with Blazikenite was distributed for XY and with the return of Mega Evolution, it makes more sense to use Torchic as a starter and give two others megas to match.
