Before X and Y came out, me and my friends who where all into pokemon where still in secondary school and when we saw Sylveon be revealed for the first time, we thought Eevee was gonna get a love type. Some already believed their was a love type because to them, it made sense that love is an element. I knew that their was only 17 types at the time so I thought their was going to be a new type when I first saw Sylveon and I thought the new type was gonna be the love type too. Especially since moves like Attract and Charm exist and I thought they where gonna get turned into love type moves.
