>Clover had more soulOne hack having more soul than another does not indicate the lesser hack is soulless.
I can talk shit all I want about a hack and its issues while not hating it outright, I'm more frustrated. It has stuff I like, like gym leader rematches, E4 rematches and two Oak fights. It allows for full dex completion, and scales the level progression better. I played it, I was enjoying it, but when I was done, I felt the praise it garnered was underserved, it's not the best hack, by a large margin.
You say you find it funny that I expect him not to monetize it, but I'll find it funnier that you consider it normal as opposed to 10-15 years ago, when the scene was a bunch of dedicated spergs across a handful of forums. This was a time where no one thought they were entitled to compensation, driven by actual passion for the series, and there wasn't completely driven by ego or money (there were some egomaniacs, but their hacks sucked anyway). I suppose I'm just yearning for those days, when not every facet of fan activity was commercialized, sue me.
